Pretty fun, but a bit repetitive. Also, the game naming system could use some work. Maybe putting the genre etc in the automatic name instead of just GAME #10 would have been useful. I went broke but I would spend some time playing this and really progressing, taking it super seriously if I had more time and it weren't so repetitive. Well worth a couple of games though. The pixel art was nice.

After playing the game for a few weeks and completing it once, I stand by my 4 star rating. The game is genuinely fun and addictive, with a good amount of things to keep you interested. However, only in my personal opinion, do I think it needs a few more things to become perfect. Such as further character customisation, possible skill tree/talents of some kind, to make characters more "unique." Further the game time by extending how long it takes between years and a few other qualities.

Deserves 5 stars, but with caveats. It's a phenomenal game, but just know that if you have an understanding of video game history (especially what consoles were successful vs. unsuccessful) the game will be easy to predict. It closely follows real gaming history, which can unintentionally "spoil" some of the challenge. So, once you've played, you know the progression pattern, hurting replayability. What if the game also contained a campaign that was fictional and deviated from real history?
