Shouldn't be getting beaten regularly by the likes of Reading and Watford when you have a squad full of world class players. It feels like the first season it works well to lure you in then the next season your teams form suddenly nosedives forcing you to spend money. I tried buying new players, playing the ones in form, playing different amounts of defenders and attackers. Nothing changes and I'm bottom of the league and I can't do a thing about it. 0 strategy to this game its just random.

Shouldn't be getting beaten regularly by the likes of Reading and Watford when you have a squad full of world class players. It feels like the first season it works well to lure you in then the next season your teams form suddenly nosedives forcing you to spend money. I tried buying new players, playing the ones in form, playing different amounts of defenders and attackers. A very simple game, but the joy is a football management game where I know ALL of the players! For a child of the 60s and 70s invisible wonderful beyond measure. The only downside is there is just one time period from my period 68-69. There is also 57-58, but that is too early. Please- more 70s leagues and I'd never put it down!

Decent game but I got about a third of the way into season 2 of the 1991 Premier League and it all just disappeared. This game should be so much fun but the match engine just isn't realistic or even fair. I've actually given up. The newer version of the game seems much better.
