What a nice game. I just wish they updated the monster roster. There's some cool ones but it needs more. That said theyl ones they do have look very nice. In fact I love the pixel style they have with the monsters being the focus. Some things are overkill. Like putting points into monsters... Some points. Like idk what's good to put it to. I would say gamepass is the way to go, this game doesn't need in app purchases. If I bought this outside of gamepass it would be 2 stars over that.

The game is a solid pokemon clone with many quality of life features. But the problem I have is that there are way too many puzzles, with some of them being very frustrating. If the game toned down the puzzles a couple notches I would rate it 4/5 stars. The mon selection is a little lacking but serviceable. There is a cash shop and you will always see the shopping cart icon on your screen, which is annoying.

Some good improvements on the old Pokémon formula, fairly limited selection of monsters though and ruined by the regular sections where you have to dodge enemies and traps. Made all the much worse by unresponsive touch controls I shouldn't have to dig out a controller just to advance past parts of the game. At one point the game even respawns you directly in front of a enemy with no time to dodge, thankfully I had a save to fall back on but the game needs focus on what it's supposed to be about
