About six months ago, after having seen enough ads for various naval battle mobile games, I decided to spend an afternoon sampling what was on the menu in the play store. And this is the one I've stuck with. Most others felt too cartoony or arcadey. Without any consumable "magic" abilities, this game came closest, for me, to simulating actual naval combat. The scale and pacing of the game allows for each battle to have distinct periods of maneuver, grouping, and up close fire fights. 5/5 easily.

great game, but lately the videos for the rewards fail to run correctly leaving you with no way to get the reward. makes the new type of container hard to aquire edit: now I switched devices and lost all my hard work. it's still there on old device, but won't sync to this one. my rating would be lower now if it weren't for me still having the old device

I left a 1 star review back when I didn't know how to play. Now that I know the various strategies I am changing to a 5 star. The game is super F2P friendly if you are willing to watch some ads. You can unlock any ship (even ones that cost money to buy directly) by collecting platinum for the containers. If you save your gold to buy the 50 million dollars you never need to worry about running out of money and can get any ships you want. Also for beginners unlock either Dunkerque or Rodney ASAP

The game is being ruined by hackers and pay to winners. This game needs its security improved so that hackers from cloned apps can't play. I'll run into one about once every 5-7 games. They'll either be invincible or shoot 30 torpedoes at you, or be able to move at 60+knots. It's near impossible to get a match without a Super Alcase ship. And it's very common to be thrown into a match going against 2-3 of them, making a chance of victory 0%.
