It's a fun game, but honestly, the difficulty feels super arbitrary. They just start only giving you bad plays. You can't call your own play, it's random, but at higher difficulty you just always get bad routes where a receiver never gets open and you get sacked. This game just lacks such a basic feature. Even if you could adjust one route it'd be fine. Without it, you'll just lose because you didn't have enough luck, and that's not fun. Progression is slow as well, trying to force purchases

Good, but can be improved. The offense controls are intuitive, the player stats are understandable, and player management aspect is great, especially the team building and drafting. However, there is absolutely no way to control the defence outside of what players you have. Its really anticlimactic and annoying to be in a close game, get the tie, then lose the coin flip in overtime just to lose when you have no real control over anything thats happening.

Simple, nostalgic, cheap to upgrade to get a lil extra salary cap or a good roster to start... It's perfect. I can play it with one hand, pause for as long as I need it to be without starting games over and over again.... And I might just be lame. But I play it over and over Might be crazy But every football season it pops into my mind like clock work. And I re-download it and enjoy it all over again.
